Text Box: Welcome to Madison County Recorder’s Office website. We are dedicated to putting the customers first and making sure your documents are handling with the most professional manner. Every day we are improving our system so that the retrieval of documents will be quick and easy. We work hard to maintain a less than two week turnaround from the time received for recording to the time the documents are return to our customers. All our documents are kept safe on books, micro film as well as computer images. You will be able to locate documents from 1830’s to 1989 in our books. Documents from the later part of 1989-1995 you can locate on micro film. Documents from 1996-present are on computer images. All these can be located in our public assess room open normal office hours. No legal advice or opinions will be given by the Recorder's Staff either in person or by telephone
